I have finally drawn a moose permit in vt looking for advice on bullet selection for 454 super redhawk it shoots the Barnes vortex 250 grain xpb really well just wondering on thoughts on if they will do the job on moose took a nice whitetail in new Hampshire last year with them also have contender in 35 Remington and cva optima v2 50 cal muzzleloader sent super redhawk to magnaport hopping to have back before October for moose hunt

What terrible thing to have loud mouth liberal extremists running any state. CA is another worse state next to NY and ILL and Washington all decisions made on political narratives I tead of solid conservation practices. Until they actually ban lead or hunting all together I would use heavy for caliber WFN lead projectile driven as hard as you can with accuracy. These will penetrate deep through bone if needed and will get into the vitals and in many cases drive through both sides. Tissue disruption is significant with a wide flat nose. Otherwise use a Extreme Penetrator loaded to high velocity they are very good bullets and would do well on a large animal
