Handgun Hunting Discussion

Growing up in Texas, a box blind has been a foundational part of my hunting upbringing. Killed my fist buck at 10 years old from an 8'x8' blind that my dad built that the floor was 12' off the ground. My dad, mom, and little brother were there in the blind with me. I love spot and stalk and have killed plenty outside of blinds, especially way out West TX, but sitting in a blind has a special place in my heart. My grandfather, dad, mom, and brothers all had their blinds and all have memories in my head for one reason or another. My box is a 5'x4' built like a TANK short blind that has be hunted out of since it was built in 2016. I have 18 kills (17 are handguns) out of it since then and it has called "home" three different counties in Texas over the years. Have spent many days an hour before sunrise till sunset in this box and loved every minute. Every kill is described in detail on the walls and it just feels like my safe escape no matter when I get to crawl in. Have about froze as well as stripped down to just my undies in it because of temps and loved that too. Spent a few rainy days in her and maybe even caught a few mid-day zzzzz's when the deer weren't looking. My goal is for my grandkids to get their first kills out of this stand God willing. It's part of me and is one of my top-5 favorite possessions on the planet. Even cut off her legs and put her won pipe skids to make moving her easier. Anyone else have one as well???
