February 2023 Giveaway GUN

A note about Taurus: I realize that there have been times in Taurus's history where their quality, features, or customer service were not up to our standards. I've had some honest conversations with Taurus folks about all that, and they recognize their past failures. There have also been times of extreme Taurus quality, specifically when they and S&W were owned by the same person. There have been major improvements recently, specifically in their warranty service. I've already had a conversation with their director of marketing about trigger pulls and he mentioned that he, Taurus's president, and their factory in Brazil have met and are discussing improvements.
Here's the important part. Taurus has signaled that they are interested in serving the handgun hunting community, and we have a great chance to both support and influence where they go with this. They are the only major gun company I'm aware of that is taking us seriously as a group, especially when it comes to revolvers. I know there are some boutique manufacturers that will always be near and dear to us (FA, BFR, etc.), but I would love to see others (S&W, Ruger, etc.) refocus at least some of their energy on serving handgun hunters. If we support them, maybe others will pick up on it.
When speaking to Taurus, I have been clear that we are a group who will be very honest about the good and the bad of what we use. If we start finding things we don't like about their guns (trigger pulls comes instantly to mind), we now have a constructive and effective way to give them our feedback through HHI. If we find good, then all the better!

It is an awesome gesture on their part for sure. I am probably going to buy a new Taurus shortly and run it through the ringer. Taurus bending an ear to our handgun hunting cause gets them some points with me as well.
