Hunt as much as you can, while you can
It is a fact of life we all get old ( hopefully) and slow down. I think about this as I just came in from a 1.5 mile hike thru the woods, in an attempt to prepare for a September hunting trip. Many of my older friends no longer get out in the field. I look at pics from the last century, and don’t recognize that young kid. This brings me to the point of this post. Get out and Hunt. Get out and explore. Plan some great hunts, travel and go for it. Read and dream of far away places. Have a wish list if places to go, and critters to hunt. Like they say, Just do it! you will never be younger than you are now. Along with age comes conditioning, and possible issues. In 6 months, You will not miss the money you spend now. you will have the memories for you whole life. There is something wonderful, about a lifetime of memories. Hunt with family as often as you can. Now that my Dad’s gone I miss the road trips with him more than ever. Getting stuck in a little town in Montana, while driving home during a blinding snow storm. exploring out of the way places, in areas you would never have seen, if you were not hunting those mountains. All the good and bad adds to the wonderful memories. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say glad I sat around the house all hunting season. All this being said, I need to step up my walks in the wood, a little faster, a little further. Time never stops, but I’m still dreaming of my next Hunt. Just do it!
Well said
