223 Twist Rate Question

Well I got bid happy on a Contender barrel on Gunbroker, got a little excited and didn't read as well as I should have...now I'm kinda worried. It is a stainless MGM Custom .223 14" and the coolest part is it is an "octagon" but appears to have 10 sides in the pics. It's a really cool looking barrel, which is what got me excited. The part I didn't pay attention to is that it is a 1:14" twist rate. I know factory TC barrels are 1:12" and they shoot 55gr ok, but 45 and 50's are much better in the barrels I've had in the past. I was googling online and I've found rifle length barrels with this 1:14" twist shoot about the same as my experience with factory barrels. Do you guys think 1:14" is going to be a hinderance in the 14" length? I mainly varmint/predator hunt with the .223, so my plan is for 45-50gr, I'm just wondering if this twist needs the longer barrel lengths.

Not a Contender, but my factory Encore barrel absolutely loves the Winchester white box 45gr HPs. I've never measured the twist.
