What new pistol scope would you recommend?
I am working with Ryan to create a pseudo Ruger Hunter out of my 7.5” Ruger 357 Maximum Blackhawk. I am planning on using the gun for deer, hog, and antelope hunting when I am expecting longer shots ( 75 plus yards) or stand hunting. I need to decide on a pistol scope for the gun; but, the last time I bought a pistol scope was more than two decades ago. I previously used a Leupold 4X and a Leupold 2.5-8X but those scopes were sold long ago. I have heard rumors that Leupold pistol scopes are not what they once were, but is that just internet rumor or true? The question I am proposing is what pistol scope would you buy giving my intentions for the revolver?

For me, using a revolver, I think a 4x pistol scope is plenty of magnication out to at least 150 yards. And should be the limits of what I would would consider maximum for a well placed revolver shot....
