Rest, Load, or Me?

I have a BFR in 500 JRH that i cant seem to dial in for whatever reason. It is a 10" barrel, 2-7X Burris scope, shooting 325 Swift AFs at ~1550fps. I have worked my way up and then back down the powder ladder (VN-110) and have settled on a load with fairly consistent velocities (1530-1570).

Accuracy is "ok" at 50 yards (3-4 inches-ish) but usually has some vertical stringing or a double group a few inches apart.

I shoot this gun THE EXACT SAME WAY as my FA454, also with a 10" barrel, 2-7X Burris, and 325 Swift AF with same but reduced powder charge. Velocity with the 454 is 1550, ES's are single digits, and it shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards on command.

Both guns are shot from standing position with a Tripod and homemade rest similar to the Trifecta rest. I rest the butt of the gun on a rear bag and the barrel on a padded front rest.

On the 500 JRH, I do not see any correlation between the higher or lower shots and the small changes in muzzle velocity. But could it be harmonics or something else in the load that is fundamentally inaccurate?

When i see vertical stringing my first inclination is to look at my grip position and consistency. Maybe its a simple as the BFR banana grip not being as good for me as the FA bisley grip? Or is it possible that the BFR hates the rest/bag/barrel position i shoot from?

Anyone else experience similar issues? What did you change to help resolve them?

thanks

Did you even get this figured out and corrected?
