Revolver cleaning question
I will start with what I shoot. I have a 44 Magnum 7.5" BFR. I have started to reload for it and try to clean it up at around 50 rounds as it it has pretty tight tolerances on the cylinder gap. It has been working good for me, but I am seeing some carbon stain on the front of the cylinder and as I am a little let's says (fussy) on the looks of my cleaned revolver. Is there a recommend cleaner you have tried that works for cleaning this off? Thanks for any advise you could offer.

I thoroughly enjoy deep cleaning my revolvers, but only do it once or twice a year. Between those I do the typical barrel/cylinder scrub and frame wipe down. But for those deep cleans, I use flitz with a soft cotton rag on the front of the cylinder and get them spotless. I can’t imagine that’s doing any real damage to them. Again, it’s at most twice a year. Works for me.
