ON MY FIRST AFRICAN SAFARI IN 1988 I HAD 14" CONTENDERS IN 375 JDJ AND 6.5 JDJ. I ENDED USING MOSTLY THE 375 JDJ. IT WAS LOADED WITH 300gr RN FMJ's AND THEY WORKED REALLY WELL ON PLAINSGAME, SO I AM THINKING THAT NON EXPANDING CAST BULLETS SUCH AS THOSE PICTURED IN THE OP OUGHT TO WORK FINE ON DEER.
