Powder Charge Deviations
So my question revolves around a rifle load I’m building. Hopefully y’all can forgive me for that. This is something I’m just curious about and would love to hear y’all’s opinions.
I’m building a load for .308 using Sierra Game King Bullets and Varget. I am being meticulous with it and weighing every charge.
My powder thrower will throw a charge usually around a 0.1-.02 grains deviation. My question is this. How big of a change will a 0.1 powder charge difference make at 100 yards?

Varget being a “stick” powder deviations like that are normal. I have switched to trying to use ball, or flake powders as much as possible especially for cartridges that take large amounts of powder. Those deviations are why 4831SC came about, SC=short cut powder kernels. The biggest issues will be when using a powder drop and you wind up chopping kernels as you drop. Those big vibrations will cause more settling to take place and allow more powder to occupy the available room.
