Mods to one of the GP100 44s already.

While disassembling one for an action job, I noticed the factory muzzle crown was off center. So I cut an 11 degree crown, reblued the muzzle, did an action job, and installed a set of the rubber / faux stag grips from the parts box.

The internals were fairly clean, with few burs, and easy to make proper.

Not a fan of faux stag grip panels, but they will work until the real stag panels arrive.

I remove all the burrs, clean up contact edges, and lightly oil all contact points.

This one had some burrs on the hammer, and hammer spring rod.

I’ve seen some Rugers that had burrs on everything.

This one wasn’t too bad.

I left the factory springs in for now, and got a 9lb DA pull, and a 5lb SA pull.

I’ll run a few hundred rounds through it and check again.

I’ll keep the factory trigger return spring, but may try different hammer springs, ensuring positive ignition.
