Freedom Arms M83

Good afternoon everyone. I picked up a FA model 83 Field Grade

at the last Kerrville Gunshow. It is a .454 Casull with 7 1/2" barrel. I called FA and asked them if they could look up date of mfg. with serial number. They did and it was made on July 21, 1988. I also got a Bianchi X15 shoulder holster with it. There was a box of 240gr. JHP FA factory ammo . There were six empties. I think that was all it was fired. It has Pachmayr grips. I'm trying to decide if I want to keep it or sell it. If I keep it, I don't plan on shooting full house loads. I also have two FA M97's.

One is a .45 Colt with 51/2 octagon barrel. The other is a .44 Spl. with 5 1/2" Octagon barrel.

I talked to Bob at FA about broken firing pins. He said the majority of broken firing pins were the result of dry firing.
