New Taurus 454 Casull Shipped

On my 454 Casull Raging Bull, I continued to have trouble with the sear spring not staying in place. It would work fine in single action, but no double action. I've replaced the spring several times and it continued to come out. I finally sent it in to Taurus at the end of May this year for repair.

I got an email from them about a week later that indicated the revolver could not be repaired? At the most all they had to do was replace the sear and/or hammer but they decided they didn't know how to fix it. Taurus told me they would send whatever Taurus product I wanted to replace it with free of charge up to $1203.79.

Yesterday, I received shipping information from them that a new Taurus Raging Hunter .454 Casull 8-3/8" barrel two tone was on the way to my FFL. So about a 2 month wait before it was shipped matched what they told me when it was ordered. Not to bad.

I don't understand why they had to replace the Raging Bull I sent in instead of simply repairing it. It seems like a waste of money on Taurus' part, but hey, I got a new revolver out it.

I hope the Raging Hunter is as accurate as my Raging Bull was. I will use a scope on it until the new red/green dot from Ultradot becomes available.

That's great. Many of my handgun friends don't like "cheap" Taurus handguns. I have Raging Bulls in .41 Mag., .454, .500 Mag. They all shoot great "with certain bullets", have decent triggers, and fantastic grips.

Good luck with the newbie. Let us know how it does.
