Early Christmas Gift From My Wife
A couple of days ago, I got my Christmas Gift from my wife early(like a little kid I talked her into not wrapping it because I her gift from me was a new cellphone that couldn’t be wrapped).
It’s a Colt Anaconda in .44 mag. I shot it yesterday and it shoots great! Smooth action and decent balance. The recoil was much more forgiving than my S&W 29 with the classic wood grips(I like the Dirty Harry look). The Hogue grips on the Anaconda are ok. I wish they were a little thicker, especially since the gun is a bit front heavy.
Now the question is about optics. Any Anaconda owners have a suggestions for a decent scope base?? I have noticed they aren’t common(including Colt’s website, which I am less than thrilled with).
I think I am going to start with the red dot I have on hand(I‘ll pull my Sig Romeo 5 off of my AR. I never shoot that thing anymore and irons are more fun).

Update: The Anaconda has a Weigand Scope Base and a Sig Romeo 5 Red Dot(it’s the Red Dot I had on hand. My only concern is it holding zero on recoil).
