45 Super G21SF is together

Just got the 45 Super shootable. It needs about 100 break in shots then the fun begins. Trigger and action job. Here is what it takes to get it to this level:

Brand new G21SF gen 3 frame.

Storm Lake 6.02" match grade minimum chamber spec barrel.

24lb flat spring on SS captive guide rod.

Of course all the small parts. Take note of the striker spring cups. The parts kit came with the marine type (under water) white cups. Never use these in a gun like this unless you want a parts failure in 200 or so shots. The extensions will wear off quickly. We aren't trying to be scuba diving secret agents. We hunt with these things.

This one got Williams adjustable fire sights. I have found them to be very good in low light.

The magazine will get an extra effort spring. I also like to put billet aluminum bases on the mags with the stronger springs. I have seen heavy mag springs wreck Glock bases.

Now to load some ammo for the beast.

Sights back on it. I have a tracing done to send to Randy that will go in the mail this week. Having it back like it was nearly as exciting as getting a new gun. Saturday I bought a new G21SF to build the scoped project gun. I have time to decide on chambering. .40 Super or .460 Rowland? That is the question.
