Finally successfull with my Turnbull Bisley 45 Colt. It’s an amazing gun, but seems it has been jinxed since I have owned it. Every time I have taken it deer hunting I haven’t even seen one. Took it out the second day of our early 3 day antlerless season. Saw several does and got a shot with the right angle on this one. She made a “death dash” of 60 yards and crashed in a cloud of dust. (Hasn’t rained here in a month).

My load was a 300 grain Speer Deep Curl with enough H110 to go 1300 fps. Bullet showed good expansion with an exit. Saw her go down but could’ve tracked her from a helicopter. Shot was close, 20 yards.
