Success In The Field

There I was minding my own business, out on the deck, cleaning the patio furniture for Easter guests tomorrow, when my dog started running towards the fence. I looked and there was a song dog loping along, taunting us. I said, " oh no you didn't!" And ran for a gun and out the front door. I saw it out in the pasture and the wind was in my favor so the stalk was on. I got a tree between me and the yote. Made it to the fence undetected. Rested on the fence and had to use Kentucky windage for the 100 yard shot. When the bullet hit it started spinning in circles and then ran a little over 100 yards and stopped. I kept watching and then it fell. Giggled 😆went back to house and ate dinner. After dinner went and got Polaris and drove out to find. Drove right to it. Had it marked by a big tree. Zero blood. But I didn't expect any. A sub sonic 22 round doesn't have much power at 100 yards. But enough to still kill. Nice looking female.
