Took this big doe on opening evening of MS firearm season - The first whitetail with the TLA #5.

She came in presenting a quartering too shot at 20 yards. Shot was center of on-side lung and exited mid body on off-side. I was using a 255gr powder coated Keith bullet over a Keith load (20grs of 2400). She went 25 yards and was down. I normally shoot for shoulder shoots, but was planning to process the whole deer for sausage and wanted minimal meat lose. The shot appears high in the photo due to steep angle of the photo on the side of a ridge and from pulling the hide to get her possed for photo.
