6mm ARC G2
Initiated the new MGM G2 contender barrel using factory Hornady Black 105 grain BTHP. This mature (3yrs) genetic deficient buck came in nosing around with some does so I had to prevent his breeding. Not stinky yet but certainly getting in the mood. I was so cold and adrenaline filled I was shaking and the Leopold scope is very specific on distance and alignment. Had to gather myself and wait for a chance. Little bullet impressed me, it broke in side shoulder then thru both lungs, destroyed the heart and was recovered under the skin on the off side shoulder. Core separated but was found together with jacket; retained 59.5 grains but might of had some tissue in the folds. He did 40 yard nose push but was dead running. The adrenaline rush is why I handgun hunt!! Next up is Ruger SRH 480 with Matchdot II.

NICE! If I ever get my hands on a G2 frame a 6mm ARC would be one of the barrels I'd get. From everything I have looked, in a shorter barrel it seems to be pretty efficient.
