It's my turn with the .41 Mag!
Wow, if our group is any representation of the true feeling of the handgun hunting community, then the .41 Mag is maybe the favorite handgun hunting cartridge out there!
I shot this guy this morning. I thought he was funky at first, but he just has a broken right side. My 5 year old daughter was with me, and ot was her first time being on a successful hunt. She was excited!
I was shooting 210gr XTP and the shot was about 40 yards. The bullet completely passed through his body behind the shoulder, shredding his lungs.
After he was hit, he moved about 15 yards away behind a cedar bush. I was expecting him to fall when he turned an ran full-til into the cattle panel surrounding the feeder. He hit it so hard that his antlers got caught, and the flipped over backwards. As he fell, he lifted the whole thing up and back on top of him, whereupon he shortly died. Pretty wild.

I must have shot his cousin the week before! I love the goofy ones, im not ashamed to say im getting him mounted for my office haha. 😎
The 41 mag is sweet and i may need to pick one up at some point. The deer below was taken with a mild 45 Colt handload.
