Success In The Field

This weekend I traveled to west Alabama for an abbreviated deer hunt. Sunday afternoon I got a chance at this buck.

What's notable about this kill, is the distance of the shot that dropped him. It was a personal longest shot on "big game" of 274 yards. I used my 30/30 Contender with factory Hornady Leverevolution 160s and this deer was suitably impressed.
