30 GNR vs 309 JDJ
Though I have a growing collection of revolvers, I'm brand new to the contender platform. I have a super 14 223 that I just picked up and decided to look into getting a barrel for deer to elk sized game. After dipping my toes into the maelstrom that is T/C wildcats I'd like those with experience to offer pros/cons and opinions between these two cartridges. I've also looked into the 7 GNR as I load and shoot 7/30 waters in a 94xtr so I have loads to fire form if anyone has opinions on that one or any other recommendations! The area I often hunt either offers shots within 100' or 200'+

If doing elk I would go with the 375 JDJ or 375 GNR. Both are good, powerful deep driving cartridges with a muzzle brake easy on the hands and very accurate. I am looking to get back to elk hinting this fall and two Encore barrel will be with me. 375 GNR and the 450 Marlin both loaded with WFN cast bullets loaded for accuracy.
