T/C Guns

I received the SSK-50 frame that SSK so generously engraved and donated for our giveaway. Of course, I want to create content with it, so I started messing around. I tried 6 different barrels, and I found 2 that didn't fit. Rather, they fit but wouldn't open.

The barrels that don't fit are a 10" tapered octagon .357 Mag, and a 10" 7mm TCU bull barrel. All of the barrels I tried are T/C made.

I reached out to Brian at SSK, and this is what he said:

"Ryan, we are telling guys older gen 1 barrels, aka flat bottom lugs, one one pc bolts etc are going to be a problem. The old 10" octagon barrels. Stuff before 1975 usually. The problem is T/C made a host of changes in the early years some subtle some more pronounced , so there's no s/n breaks to key on. They changed things when production allowed. "

This is not a big deal. The TCU barrel barely fits on my S/N 169XXX frame, and I've had trouble with others, as well. Just thought I'd make y'all aware.

Overall, this frame is incredible, with an outstanding trigger and really great aesthetic. I recommend you get on the list for one. I may be working out a deal to have a run of them made with the HHI logo in a very limited quantity.
