Handgun Hunting Discussion

I've been handgun hunting a little while, shot a few critters 😉, but I've never used an XTP to kill one. I didn't avoid them on purpose , it just happens that I never had a caliber or load that utilized one. That changed Saturday with this big sow taking a single 250 grain .45 @ about 1350 fps.

It didn't exit a broadside shoulder shot, and she fought through it and ran a little bit, but I think I could have followed her if I didn't see her drop...

Overall, I was pretty impressed.
