Hunting Scopes and Other Optics
I don't know if it's my eyes starting to age, or what, but I notice at 45 (after working in IT since 19 looking at computer screens) that a 2x scope seems to be more of a handicap than help at distance past 50 yards compared to just shooting open sights or a red dot...I am thinking that I would need to have at least a 4x handgun scope to make a difference but honestly would rather have open sights, preferably fiber optic or a red dot...what say you HHI community?

I also agree with Trapr's response. I have tried and still try to shoot iron sights but much beyond 25 yards and things really open up.
