We have some cooler weather here in S. Texas and it's about right for bucks to be chasing does. Plus I've got 7 days and it starts tomorrow for me at first light. My earlier trip in December was a bust with warm weather and to early for rut activity. Four handguns have made the trip with me FA555, JRH 414sm, Ruger SRH 500L, and Ruger OMSBH, plus the wife has brought her new 657 with her to get some blood on it. After the drive, sleep will come easily tonight and hopefully deer movement or at least some pigs in the morning.

Thanks for the info I really thought the srh platform would suck up the recoil better that a single action I've shot a buddy's bfr 454 with the bisley grip and it was terrible pounded my trigger finger my srh is way less abusive
