Argentina Buffalo Help
Looking for a little guidance from those that have "been there and done that" on the big Bovines in Africa and South America.
I would like to plan a hunt for Buffalo in Argentina for 2024 or 2025. I'm a handloader and generally run 45 colt +p loads out of my 10" FA 454 and 7" BFR 454 with WFN hardcasts. Aoudads, deer, hogs at 20-30 yards is pretty typical of my handgun hunting experience in Rocksprings, TX.
Are there any recommendations for guide outfits in Argentina that accommodate handgunners?
Would the 454's work for this hunt or would I need to step up to the 475L or 500 JRH?
Hardcast bullets, Swift A-Frame, or Monometal solids recommended?
Optics and typical shot distances?
Any other tips or help appreciated! Thanks guys!
