CRISIS AVERTED!!! Opening day
So tomorrow is Michigan's opening day of the general firearms season. MS or no MS I am going! To that end I sharpened all my bullets, loaded my knives and generally got all my gear together for the big day. 45 colt check! 44 Special check1 Coat, boots, flashlight, seat cushion, camera, thermos, CHECK. Then . . . THEN I realized the single most vital, DO-NOT-LEAVE- WITHOUT item of them all was missing! I searched high and low, but NOTHING. So it was off to town in spite of the crowds of deer season warriors heading north for the opener. Into the hell hole known locally as THE STORE. There I braved a vast sea of blaze orange and camo stocking up on hotdogs and beer to retrieve the single most indispensable piece of gear of them all:
It was a close call! But the world it right now - they had ONE BOX LEFT! That was way too close
Whew! Good save. I am also in Michigan and the closest store with the magic pies is 22 miles. I make the drive.
