Handgun Hunting Discussion

Went out to scout some public land near my house. I carried my 7 1/2-in super Black hawk with some 240 grain cast hollow points I made.

Had some success. Found some great sign. Of course it is a mile from the truck and a tornado came through several years ago so it is hard going climbing over downed trees

I loaded the 44s with a light load of universal.

I was shocked how little it recoiled. It's accurate enough once I figured out that it shot to point of aim. The last load I tried shot 3" high.
