Guns and hunt plans for 2023?
I am just curious what everyone's handgun plans are for this new year.
I have a couple of new Glock hunters that I completed few weeks ago. One of them is running like a swiss watch and shooting better than some high end match guns. I am calling it done. The other one not so much. I am not satisfied with the accuracy and propensity to jam. Probably getting a new barrel this week. Its useless unless it is running right. My vision for it is a KIT gun of sorts. based on a G23 I want it accurate enough for small game in a survival role and powerful enough for black bear defense. It will all come out in the wash.
Thinking of another wheelgun. Probably a Redhawk .44 or 45 4" barreled gun. No rush but on the agenda.
I am looking at several elk and moose hunts. With several health issues to overcome I am going to factor in a less physically demanding hunt. We will see. As I was driving home last night I was thinking about pronghorn. Grew up around them and never hunted them. That would make for a fun handgun hunt.

Usually my hunting is OTC tags here in Montana, but always put in for antelope, bighorn and bull elk in the “breaks”
Thinking of changing it up a bit and try some new areas for mule deer, or even use my ground blind in some river bottoms for WT…
Just gonna try super hard to get an elk down with the 375, be it cow or bull!
