RNFP on deer?
Just curious if anyone has ever tried it here? I sold my 45 colt a few years ago but kept the about 500 250gr RNFP lasercast bullets I had used for target loads.
Loaded them up in 45 acp to plink with and for hogs, probably about 800 FPS. Shoots pretty well and cycles with no issues.
You think the RNFP would leave any kind of blood trail or preform more like a FMJ?

Cast them soft and drive em hard they will get the job done provided you put them into heart and lungs. Or better yet break the shoulders. I think a wide flat nose would be better choice. If they will cycle or file a wider nose on what you have use a trim die for consistency.
