Red Dot Suggestions
I'm looking for red dot suggestions for my 12" Encore in .44mag for hunting. This spring I moved a Holosun 403 red dot that I had on another rifle over to this barrel for load testing and practice, but I need to move it back to it's home and get this barrel it's own dot, then get dialed in for the season. I'm not opposed to just getting another 403, I do like those and they have a 2 moa dot which is much better for me than some of the larger moa dots that are out there.
The two that I'm mainly considering are the Ultradot Gen2 and the Leupold Freedom RDS. The Ultradot is a 2 moa, but the Leupold is a 1 moa and is a 34mm tube. Only downside to the Leupold is that it comes in a tall AR style one piece mount, so I would need to get lower 34mm rings and those are prowd of those things!
What's your guys suggestions? Use case is big game hunting, small fields or woods out to 100 yards. The 44mag barrel is quad Magna-ported so recoil shouldn't be a huge problem.
Red dots can be accurate as well as fast.
