I just acqurired a S&W 460 magnum XVR 7 ½ inch. I added a Leupold 2 ½ X 8 pistol scope.

I want to use this revolver in the fall for whitetails in Illinois.

I have a question , has anyone had good results with the Hornady 200 grn FTX on whitetailed deer?

I plan on reloading that bullet at 1900 fps with Win 296, which is easier on the wrist than the factory load.

I'm looking for feedback from hunters that have used that load.

I do have the option of useing the Hornady 300 grn XTP mag, if that would be a better choice?
