Texas Frustration
Anybody else here hunt a in Texas? This was a trailcam pic from my feeder at my farm that was taken about this time last year. Only about one of these deer would be a legal buck to take under Texas' antler spread law. I had to pass on a 6.5+ year old buck last season because his spread was not wide enough! Super tall and if you saw him from a side view he would stop your heart. But he was inside his ears. I am seeing the same thing this season.
Get's frustrating sometimes...

We don't have any restrictions where I hunt and I still wouldn't shoot those deer either. One of the things I enjoy most of all is hunting late in the season and knowing that the deer I see will very likely not be shot that year. Because the others have finished their hunting season already.
