What the…?
We've probably all seen pics of the guy who blew up his rifle by leaving his bore-sight in the barrel then firing a live round. And we likely know a person who did some off the wall "what in the world" something or other with a firearm. Lord knows I've seen my share of eye-openers and I may have done one or two. Maybe.
What are your stories of oopses, almosts, uh-ohs and oh-nos on range or in field?

You reminded me of another. I was at a local turkey shoot and they had a range for people to sight in their guns. One guy was at the bench for half-an-hour, banging away at the target. Finally, someone came and asked me to take a look. I walked up, and the shooter said, "It's all over the paper!" He was shooting a nice Savage 99 in .250-3000 (.250 Savage). Unfortunately, he was using .22-250 ammo....
