454 Casull Ammo?
Just got a Taurus raging hunter in 454, curious on good factory ammo, mainly going to be hunting whitetails and hogs.

Just got a Taurus raging hunter in 454, curious on good factory ammo, mainly going to be hunting whitetails and hogs.
I would agree with David, in that any factory 454 load should work for deer and hogs. There really is no reason for a custom loading. If you decide to go for larger game like bear, elk, or moose then a premium bonded, partitions, or monometal bullet would be a good choice. The Hornady Handgun Hunter ammo, Federal premium line or Swift Handgun line should provide you with good performance. Handloading your own ammo would provide more choices and allow custom tailoring of bullets to game.
