Contender Question
Good morning!
The wife and kids went out of town last week to visit family, so I took a much needed trip to the local range, and started putting rounds through my 45 Colt/410 Contender. To my utter dismay, ~80% of my bullets keyholed, and accuracy was dismal. I shot the same 45 Colt through my Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter, and all was fantastic.
My theory is that the .410 choke is the culprit. Does anyone have any input on this, or have had a similar issue?
My follow up question is, can 45 Colt be run safely through this barrel without the choke installed? It is a factory 10" T/C barrel.
Thank you all, have a great day!

Sometimes the other way around will work too - Stick it in the freezer overnight. A lot of the time the contraction will be enough to break the seal.
