Anybody got a favorite load for 180gr XTP in a 44Magnum
I’m looking for a good clean load for the 180gr XTP in the 44 magnum. I loaded and shot some 29.0gr of H110 and like them but I’m looking for something a little milder, say 1300-1500fps. I tried some middle of the road loads with Unique, HS6, and 2400. All of them were dirty to the point of leaving a film on the cylinder etc.
would any of the listed powders do better if I pushed them farther up the suggested loads?

Universal Clays. 10grs gets about 1300fps from a 6.5" barrel. Burns very clean as well.
