Hammer Bullets
I've ordered a box of .358 203 grain Shock Hammers from Hammer Bullets. The 4mm HP on this one sure does look like bad medicine.
One big plus is they've got bullets in stock.

I was able to do a little shooting and load development over the weekend and learned a bit.
I shot 2 different weights of Shock Hammers; 140 and 203. Since there's not a ton of load information for 35-06JDJs floating around I'm having to feel my way around this. The loads from SSK all were with powders that are largely not available or just coming available so I'm working with what I had or could find.
I had/have high hopes for the 140s and the first round didn't disappoint. I was limited on time and distance so I didn't pay a lot of attention to nor shoot for groups. This was about speed and pressure. The frist (low end) ladder of 140s over IMR4198 spit out between 3100-3117fps. Screamin'! The second ladder; first shot was 3136fps but showed potential head seperation and a flattened primer so I added the rest plus the third ladder to the bullet-pull box.
203grain Shock Hammers:
Varget was s l o w, only giving 2200-2300fps with pressure signs. Bullet-pull box, save the Varget for other things.
W748 was a different story. Speeds were 2667-2670 with no signs of pressure from the high end of ladder. I pulled the rest and will add a few ladders with +1 grain each, looking for pressure.
Next order of business will be shooting the 140s at distance for groups and pushing the 203s with W748.
