.35-06 JDJ

For a long time I've wanted TC pistol in one of JD Jones' calibers. This week it is coming together.

I've spent a good amount of time and money accumulating what new brass I could find, appropriate powder (more than my wife needs to know about) and a wide variety of .358 bullets - thanks to @Heath Tyler for those! I still owe you.

Monday night I mounted the scope in the T'SOB mount and got it bore sighted. Last night I cleaned the Hornday custom grade dies, lubed the '06 cases and neck-sized them to .35. I know this will thin the brass and probably shorten the case life but they're what I have, will buy Wheelen brass when it's available. I'll tumble the brass tonight and get them ready to fire form. That'll have to wait until next week due to the wife's birthday and a weekend fishing trip to the Ouachita River in west Arkansas.

This is going to be a fun one.

I grew up on the Ouachita River in Louisiana. I use AA 2520 in my .358 JDJ and AA 2460 in my .35 Whelen Ackley Improved.
