Reloading

I have lamented the unavailability of the 260g grain Speer JHP for the last few years. The bullet worked great from the .460 Rowland. Sierra just introduced a 260 grain JSP that is intended for use in the 450 Bushmaster. The good thing is that it is sized .4515". The Speer was intended for the 45 Colt but was sized .451". Because of the depth these bullets have to be set back in the case the 250 grain bullets like the XTP are an issue in some chambers. I will be talking to them more about the bullet. It has the tapered jacket so theoretically it will expand at the Rowland velocities. If anything since it is supposed to function at approximately 2000-2100 fps it would act like a controlled expansion bullet. We shall see.
