TLA #5 gets to play
Last week I had the TLA #5 out for some field play. I was able to break the silence of the morning woods when I called in this nice freak horned buck. He came in through some very think stuff and was 20 yards from me when I first seen him. Not seeing any deer that was causing the ruckus, he began to cautiously skirt downwind. He gave me a clear shot at 56 yards. I raised the TLA, after slipping on my reading glasses and ear plugs, and took the shot off handed. The front sight was settled on the slightly quartered onside shoulder - he dropped in his tracks.

The load was a 255gr powder coated Keith bullet by Dick Thompson, pushed by 20.0gr of 2400.
