Range Day With the TC
So, I took the new (to me) Contender out to the range today and was very pleased.
First, I'm no great pistolaro and shooting very cheap ammo, I got a couple of 2.4", 3 shot groups at 100 yds. Respectable for my skill level.
I know the gun can do better as I had a couple shots that hit within a 1/2" of each other at 50 and again at 100 yds. Looking forward to practicing more and find a load it likes.
I think it has a deer hunt in its future!

My daughter used plain old 50gr Hornady soft points. Driven at the somewhat lower speeds of a pistol, it expanded well and didn't blow up at 40 yards. It went in from behind the right shoulder, through the heart, and lodged in the off-side shoulder. We did recover the bullet under the hide, and it held together.
