.375 JDJ carbine build...
I am putting together my first carbine this weekend. I already have 11-12 pistol barrels, and two receivers, a G1 and a G2. I found a .375 JDJ, 21 inch, carbine barrel, online...
Since having the two receivers, I thought I would work with the G2 for the .375 cartridge....
Upon reading some articles from Bullberry Barrels, they recommend using the G2 frame, as opposed to the G1, because of the lockup mechanisms. My G1 Frame is an original, I think I purchased it in 1985, with a .35 Remington barrel. Anyway, it would be better not to stress it unnecessarily. I shoot the .375 cartridge in the handgun configuration now, but it can be a handful at the shooting range !!!
Looking forward to shooting this cartridge more. I found some great 260 grain lead bullets from HUNTERS SUPPLY that should be just perfect for range work...
