Buying a used Contender or Encore
You guys have worn my will power down. I'm starting to search for a used TC Contender or Encore, but I don't know what I don't know. I'll probably be looking for a complete gun.
Tell me what to look for or ask (especially if shopping online) about these guns or frames?

The biggest decision maker to me is your intended cartridge. If you handload and can fire-form brass either will do. If you don't handload or fire-form and don't intend to I'd lean to the Encore for higher pressure cartridges such as .270, .30/06, .306.
