HHI Emblem & Firearm-Engraving Template suggestion
I'm wondering what kind of interest there would be to see the development of a Generic Engraving template for members to use (& provide to their engravers) in times of a new Custom-build, or for embellishing favourite Field handguns with their member number aside the HHI logo..
Myself, I think a med/small stamp-flavoured engraving along the lines of Colts rampant pony or Turnbulls bull (only a HHI specific one, likely a shade bigger) would be a pretty sweet touch to some of our favourite rigs. Topstraps, shovel-heads, sideplates between action screws and places of those sorts are locations I'm talking about to "put" such a mark. I personally have a Freedom Arms 97 I intend to use for future hunts, & also an everyday trapline .22 that I'd personally embark such an engraving onto if one was designed or existed ...
I'll attach a rough example of what I'm referring to, and will let Ryan and the rest of you guys run with it over conversation if he figures its something worth procuring for the store. I think it be a neat touch though. I have been directly involved with similar engraving projects like this through local F&W clubs in the past, and using logo's belonging to organizations (like HHI in this example) would be a no go without permission or ownership by anyone not a member holding rights to it... engravers and laser-etch shops refuse such things if it doesn't belong to you. So, maybe a generic membership-specific template would be something that is worth coming up with for the Handgun Hunter memberships. Lets hear what you guys have to say, or can suggest and add to this idea ... here is something more/less what I would start working off from my end.. it would state your individual membership as Standard, Founding/Life etc.. plus I think should have our specific membership number too, kind of like this:
How 'bout it??

Leatherstampmaker.com looks like he would do for under $100 plus he would personalize for each of us, just one example -might be a member who can make them too
