Quick observation, Sixgunner
I think many of us used to love to see the yellow paper show up as the new Sixgunner showed up. Sadly a whole box full of them disappeared when my brother had to move abruptly, never to be seen again. When Ryan started digitizing the old issues it was great. I look forward to each issue. I remember many of the articles. Spring forward to the resurection of HHI and the new Sixgunner. While I have enjoyed every issue I always felt there was something amiss. Not with the Sixgunner but with me. I somehow didn't have that "kid on Christmas morning" anticipation that I once had. I realized with the new issue and the recent August 2000 issue that I once again had that feeling. When I first encountered Sixgunner I remember the names of the writers and the awesome hunts they used their handguns for. The realization hit me that many of them are still around and in fact we can now communicate with many of them. Not enough can be said for the job JD did with HHI and Sixgunner but through the eye of faith I see HHI rising from the ashes. The job that JD did so admirably I see Ryan doing. Sixgunner is now in color, often with great pictures. Sure the old Sixgunner will always be awesome but I see the new Sixgnner finally coming into its own. I think it is great. Back to work.
I guess I'm "old school" cuz I like having something in my hand to read, be it a magazine, book or the SixGunner... but I still enjoy the electronic version we have as it has its merits; the communication between members being almost instant, and the high quality photos are awesome! No matter what, thank you Ryan for all the hard work you do to resurrect HHI
