475 Linebaugh…. Am I missing out?
I have a collection of hunting handguns ranging from 10mm, 45 LC, 454, and 500 JRH. Lately I have been researching the 475 Linebaugh as it sits nicely between the 454 and 500 in terms of performance.
My question… do y’all think the gap is big enough between the 454 and 500 that a 475 has practical utility and can fill a unique role for me? Or is there enough overlap in the calibers I have to not need one?
Its certainly a cool caliber and the Hardcast offerings are pretty good. Talk me in to it! 😉

Appreciate the feedback guys. I’ll probably convert one of my BFR 454s over to 475. Whether it fills a unique role or not I think it would be cool to hunt with a 475.
I’ll probably throw a scope on it to absorb some recoil and was thinking a 10” barrel. Seems most of my hunting revolvers are ending up scope/10” barrel configuration. Squeeze out the most performance and I find them much easier to shoot with the extra weight.
