Revolvers

Hello All

Question for those of you more versed in Revolvers than myself.

I have a Redhawk in 45 Colt/ACP that I really enjoy shooting and hunting with. To accomidate my aging eys, i've put a reflex reddot (vortex venom 3moa) on it with the weig-atinny mini scope mount. It's pretty solid (bedded with JB weld), but i'm wondering if there is an option where I could direct mount a similar sight (low profile) even if took drilling and tapping on the top strap?
