Thinking of scoping my BFR .475

As accurate as the gun is and having enough stuff to keep it running for years I am thinking of scoping it. I keep spare scopes. With Leupold no longer available and stocked up my spares so I have several to keep my stuff running. In the mix I have a new 2.5x8 VX-3 that I haven't even cut the plastic on. I was thinking last night it is a crime to keep that scope out of action. That gun shoots ragged holes at 25 yards with nearly anything. That combo will give me a pretty good 200 yard hammer. I have several open sighted guns to do the pocket big bore job and thinking about having a custom .500 Linebaugh built next year so scoping it isn't a handicap. I am dangerous when I think.

I agree, scope the gun. I have personally moved away from scopes and converted to UltraDots. I had a few recent poor experiences in seeing in low light that motivated me to make the switch. Having said that though, never have I had a bad experience with a Leupold 2.5-8.
